PGRH to Officially Open New Maternal-Child Care Centre

It has been more than a year in the making, and today, officials will open the  new Maternal Child-Care Centre at Prince George Regional Hospital.

The new  facility  provides 14 private single rooms for all stages of childbirth and recovery.  There are new paediatric rooms,  an expanded special care nursery which includes more room for parents.  There are expanded paediatric ambulatory care facilities and dedicated isolation rooms for infectious patients.

Initially, the  renovations were pegged at $12 million dollars, but  the final bill has come in at $13.8 million.
