What a difference a few days can make.  The photo on the left is the Smithers golf course  at the height of the Bulkley  flooding.  The photo at right was Sunday, after the  water had receded.

The waters are receding, although the River Forecast Centre   says  changing weather conditions could  bring on renewed flooding  on the Skeena.

The Bulkley is still  at flood level, but it too is  receding.

Sunday, some residents of Ebenezer Flats were being allowed to  go back to their homes  to check  things.  No  one allowed to  move back in.  More residents are expected to be allowed  to  check out their flooded  Smithers area homes today.

The Regional District of Fraser Fort George has  lifted the evacuation alert for the  residents of the Shelley Townsite and  Foreman Flats.

The evacuation order  for  the Farrell Street residents in Prince George remains in effect, and the state of emergency  in Prince George is also still in effect.  Officials  are expected to  review the situation this  morning and make an announcement.
