'known to police' ain't that the truth eh?
Most of these diseased scumbags are known to the police, who must be so frustrated with the laws that protect these vermin. I have spoken with veteran R.C.M.P. officers who openly admit they would go after the filth dealers, but their hands are tied. They can't bust the scum until a thorough investigation has been done, in the meantime, many more lives have been damaged. The problem lies with the fact that a sharp lawyer can get the case thrown out if all of the evidence is'nt perfect. One 'reasonable doubt' and the scum slithers free. Vigilante justice anyone?
metalman.

The police are into networking, the same as people in other vocations. Many people have a network of people that are well known to them.

Has anyone ever seen a report that says that the RCMP raided a house where they did not know anyone? It would seem to me, that they had better know the people, otherwise they have not done their preliminary work. I am assuming that when they batter down the door with a search warrant that they know what and who to expect inside.
Really Owl. I think you have yourpersonal "networking" confused with the RCMP criminal records. It ain't the same.
Are you saying that “known to police" is a euphemism for those who have a criminal record? So those who do not have criminal records and have merely been observed in their activities over time and have been identified through various means of doing so without actually walking up to them and asking for their ID are not “known to police”?
