The Prince George Cougars have just announced they have signed first round WHL Bantam Draft Pick Brett Connolly to a Western League Contract.

“We are very excited to have Brett join our organization. Brett proved through his steady progression during the year, and at our Prospect Camp in Calgary, that he is a top level talent. With Brett’s expected development, we feel he will be an extremely valuable player for years to come”, states Cougars GM, Dallas Thompson.

Connolly will likely spend most of his time with the Cariboo Cougars AAA Midget team this winter. He is only eligible to play 5 regular season games in the WHL as a 15 year old until his minor hockey season ends. Brett will accompany the Cougars throughout training camp in August, and  during the exhibition schedule.
The Cougars would like to congratulate Brett, Pat (Dad), Dawn (Mom), and Josh (brother).
