RDFFG Looks At Expenses, and Development of Light Industrial Lands
By 250 News
Three properties in the Regional District of Fraser Fort George will be the focus of a “public consideration” today at the Regional District’s monthly meeting.
The District would like to have the Board of Directors give the Regional District the authority to “remedy unsightly property”. There are three properties to be discussed, one on the Old Cariboo Highway, one on Giscome Road and one on Cummings Road.
The declaration would start the process to have the owners clean up the property, or be forced to pay the bills attached to a clean up should the Regional District have to do the work.
Also on the agenda today, a presentation from Dyno Nobel Canada. That is the company which wants to set up an explosives emulsion plant in the Catfish Creek / Crescent Spur area.
The Regional District will also examine a report that calls for a large section of land near the airport to be removed from the agricultural land reserve. That exclusion would start the process to develop some light industrial lands to link to either an intermodal port, or expanded cargo opportunities at the Prince George Airport.
One other item to be received is the detailed report on Director’s expenses for the 2006 calendar year.
