Funeral Service Today For Gairett MacIver

It was one week ago today that a courageous young man lost his battle with complications following a rare four-organ transplant last year.
A funeral service for 19-year-old Gairett MacIver will be held this afternoon at the Civic Centre in Prince George at two o'clock.
Gairett had been in the intensive care unit in hospital in Vancouver with pneumonia, when he passed away.
In lieu of flowers, a bursary fund has been established at DP Todd Secondary for students who demonstrate perserverence in the face of challenges. Contributions should be directed to School District 57.
