Youth of the Year: Kerry Kondola

Kerry Kondola is a grade 10 student at John McInnis Secondary School. She has been a straight “A” Honour Roll and Principal’s List student every year from grade 1 through 10.
A member of the Leadership Program, she has been a member of the Student Board. She has organized events to welcome grade 8 students to John McInnis, has co-ordinated the schools Terry Fox run, helped with the schools Christmas hamper drive for the Salvation Army and helped teams from all over the province during the Junior Boys Provincial Volleyball championship.
She has been involved with the Red Cross Respect Ed program and has helped develop anti bullying and harassment lessons.
Outside of school she volunteers with the Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Child Development Centre, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
An active member of the Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Society, she teaches traditional dance, music and the Punjabi language to younger members of the Society.
Kerry would like to stay in Prince George and become a paediatrician.
