Opinion250.com will run part three of Peter Ewart’s four-part series, "OBAC and the strange case of the missing word" tomorrow...

Later in the morning, Ewart is scheduled for an in-studio interview with CBC Daybreak North hosts Chris Walker and Russell Bowers to discuss the case he’s presenting.

The series of articles, which began on Monday, highlight what Ewart sees as a glaring omission from the Omenica Beetle Action Coalition’s mandate for the region - the value-added wood sector.

On Wednesday, Ewart did a direct comparison between OBAC’s top priorities and those of the Cariboo Chilcotin Beetle Action Coalition where the secondary industry is a key plank in CCBAC’s plans for economic diversification.

Ewart is scheduled to discuss the issue on Daybreak at 7:45am, after which a rep for OBAC is slated to be interviewed.  Tune in to CBC Radio One at 91.5FM in Prince George tommorrow morning.

I never could understand why Peter does not run for elected office? He would make an excellent representative for this region if he ever ran and would get my support.

Maybe he's like Lou Dobbs and feels he can do more from the outside, rather than be constained by the party politics we have in our legislatures?
I must have missed something, who is Peter Ewart?
"Ewart did a direct comparison between OBAC’s top priorities and those of the Cariboo Chilcotin Beetle Action Coalition"

To me what is the important thing is to find out what they said they would do, what they have actually done, and the effectiveness of the dollars spent. Maybe in simpler terms, how many new jobs did each create?

If we got 50 jobs in manufacturing electronic gizomos for snowmobile manufactureres located elsewhere which has nothing to do with value added wood product manufacturing, then that would be better than them getting 5 additional jobs to make towel racks from SPF (soon to be SF) for IKEA.

I really do not think anyone managed to get any new jobs that could be attributed to the money flowing to those organizations. So, whether one approach is better than the other really becomes moot.

Sort of like how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
