Festivities to mark Canada's 104th birthday will fill Fort George Park later today.

The opening ceremonies for today's celebrations, hosted by the Multicultural Heritage Society, get underway at 12noon.

Events in the park include:

  • a Kids' Activity Centre in the playground and at The Exploration Place
  • a Craft Fair
  • the ever-popular International Food Fair
  • Live entertainment at the Bandshell from 1pm until 6pm

Once again, the annual fireworks display goes at Exhibition Park this year at 11pm.
