Vandals Slash Tires In College Heights

Over 12 hours yesterday,  someone  slashed tires on six different vehicles in College Heights.

Police say they got the first call at 8 in the morning, and the last call at  little after 8 last night.     Vehicles on the following streets were hit:

  • 6900 block of Gladstone Drive
  • 6100 block  of Caledonia Crescent
  • 6000 block  of Caledonia Crescent
  • 6900 block of Gladstone Drive
  • 6800 block of Simon Fraser Avenue
  • 6000 block of Simon Fraser Avenue

Police have increased patrols in the area,

Anyone who has seen anything suspicious is asked to call the Prince George RCMP  at 561-3300

Concerned residents should be more vigilant. Maybe they should be as ready as someone who is just leaving for batting practise. Policeman asks why you have a bat? Show him your baseball. Say to him you want to swat a few good ones. But then again, thinking like that is just plain silly. Right?
These acts of violence are happening between 1& 4 am when most of us on the crescent are sleeping so we can get up and go to work in the morning and this is the second time it's happened. Trust me if we found we'd like to use more than a bat on them. Unfortunately it wouldn't be considered legal.
I wonder if the people responsible for these acts realize that their relatives and friends have to pay higher insurance rates because of this.
Public humiliation by whipping would be very appropriate. Protecting their identity continues to keep them from being criticized or ridiculed by their family and friends. Too bad. Chester
