Zoning Change Approved

Prince George City Council has given third and final reading to a bylaw allowing a zoing change to a parcel of land owned by Canfor.
The property in question borders on the PG Pulpmill Road to the north, and the confluence of the Nechako and Fraser Rivers on the south.
The property was zoned M-3 Heavy Industrial, and the change will allow the property to be used as M-2 Heavy industrial which allows for a combination of light and heavy industrial uses.
In passing the zoning change, Mayor Colin Kinsley commented he was please with the change as it will “grow the tax base and open the doors for further opportunites
