Steelworkers Get Green Light

The BC Labour Relations Board has granted the United Steelworkers the legal right to be the bargaining agent for 37 employees at  Spruce Capital Homes, part of the Winton Global /the Pas Lumber group. 

Steelworkers' Local 1-424,  will represent the Prince George, workers, they already act for  workers at Winton Global's The Pas Lumber sawmill. 

It is believed  the initial contract demands will focus on wages and benefits. Dates for those talks have yet to be set.

Wonderful, just what we need, more union crap when this city is just starting to get out of the dark ages. We need more people that want to work, not be protected by unions. If more people would do a good day's work for a good day's pay we wouldn't need this. People don't want to work anymore.
