The court battle between the Prince George Golf and Curling Club and the Pomeroy Group could soon be over.

There are indications the two sides are working on  a deal that will resolve their dispute  without  having to go to court.

Last October, The Golf Club filed a statement of claim alleging the Pomeroy Group had reneged on its deal to buy the Golf Course property by not  meeting some terms and conditions of the  contract within a specified time frame.

Pomeroy had offered to buy the property  for $15 million.   Two other  developers have since stepped forward and presented an offer of $15.5 million. The Golf  and Curling Club has in the meantime, purchased a property off Foothills Boulvard for a new golf course and has proceeded to  develop  conceptual plans  for the new  facility  and has already held one open house to  discuss the plans with the public.

The dispute  between Pomeroy and the Golf and Curling Club was supposed to  be in court  this month, but  it would appear there are talks underway  that would resolve the matter  outside  of the courtroom.
