Grow Op Busted on Blackburn Rd.

While most emergency services personnel were busy at the CN derailment in Prince George on Saturday, members of the Prince George Drug Section were executng a search warrant on a home in the 3400 block of Blackburn Road South.

The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 100 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Police also seized equipment to grow the plants.

In an out building on the property, police say they discovered what appears to have been expansion plans for the operation as the building was fully outfitted with an automated hydroponics system they think was just days from completion.

One woman is now under investigation for production of a controlled susbstance.
