Organizers of the 4th annual Bob Ewert Memorial Dinner and Lecture  have announced the key note speaker for  the January 2008 Dinner.

Former Alberta Premier Ralph Klein will be the guest speaker at the next lecture to be held in Prince George January 19th, 2008. The lecture is held on a yearly basis to raise funds for the Northern Medical Bursary Program at UNBC.

"King Ralph" served as Premier of Alberta for 14 years  from December 14th  1992,  to December 14th 2006.  He was known for his “common man” persona, and  his sharp tongue.

The feature speaker for the 2007 dinner was David Suzuki.

Who is Bob?
He will be an interesting speaker!
Ralphie will be interesting if you don't mind hearing someone say "um..um".I heard him speak a few years back and I was amazed at how many times he says that in a speech.
An annoying habit, but he WAS interesting to listen to aside from that.
And I bet he doesn't come cheap either!
Hid the booze.
Bring the booze out, much more entertaining after a few.
Wasn't Bob THE Dr. Bob Ewert?
One of the good old doctors from the early days of P.G. Not too early, I am thinking maybe the forties or fifties?
Any how, I am sure Ralphie will be interesting to listen to. Will he imbibe? if so, he will be even more entertaining.
If not, then the spectators should drink, then he will be interesting anyways.
Hey, I think I'll go see him.
metalman.
