Copntracts have been awarded for two major projects that will benefit seniors in the Peace region.

Northern Health has announced the expansion of the Rotary Manor  project in Dawson Creek.  It will add 71 residential care beds,  and will replace outdated facilites at Pouce Coupe and Peace River Haven.

Vector Projects Group of Kelowna  has been awarded the $25.6 million dollar project for the  residential care beds,  while Hegge Construction of Dawson Creek has been awarded the contract to build 26 new assisted living units at the Rotary Manor site. That project carries a $7 million dollar price tag.

Site preparation is underway at the Rotary Manor site. Completion of both projects is scheduled for fall of 2008.
