B.C. NDP Leader Carole James and the Opposition Rural Caucus are planning to huddle in Quesnel on the 10th and 11th of September . They plan to met with groups and individuals to talk about the challenges confronting rural residents and communities and what can be done to address them.
Among the MLAs heading to Quesnel will be Skeena representative Robin Austin, who was recently named the NDP Critic for Rural Issues. “I was eager to accept this challenge from our leader,” said Austin. “Rural British Columbians deserve to have their voices heard and their issues addressed, and my NDP colleagues are working hard to ensure that rural B.C. has a strong voice in the Legislature.”
The session in Quesnel takes place in preparation for the full NDP caucus set for Prince George on the 12th of September.
