Thousands of students head back to class today and RCMP will be keeping an eye on school zones to ensure drivers are obeying the school zone speed limits.

Traffic accidents are the number one cause of death for children and youth.  With two months away from having to obey the school zone reduced speed limits, it would be easy for a driver to forget they are to reduce their speed to 30 km per hour through school zones.

Classes today will be shorter than normal for students in School District 57.

For UNBC and the College of New Caledonia, orientation gets into full swing this week.
