Not happy with the Electoral Boundaries Commission's preliminary report?
The City of Prince George is still collecting signatures. At Wednesday ‘s rally (which preceded the public hearing held by the Electoral Boundaries Commission) those in attendance were invited to sign the resolution passed by the Council of the City of Prince George. That resolution says the City does not support the recommendations as presented by the Electoral Boundaries Commission.
312 people signed their names to that resolution at the rally.
Christine Russell, the City’s communications manager says people can still sign on to that resolution. They can sign a copy at City Hall during regular business hours.
The City of Quesnel has already made a presentation to the Electoral Boundaries Commission and will examine the matter again on Monday at its Council meeting. That City is also considering starting a petition for organizations and residents to sign voicing their displeasure with the preliminary report from the Electoral Boundaries Commission.
