Sheridan Lake Man Arrested in Connection with 2003 Murder

A 52 year old Sheridan Lake man is in police custody charged in connection with a murder that happened 4 years ago.
In late June of 2003, 34 year old Brenda Lee Jean Woodward, a mother of two young children, was reported missing from Kimberly. Her remains were found in a fire pit near St. Mary's Lake, about 25 kilometers southwest of Kimberly.
Yesterday, RCMP arrested a 52 year old male from Sheridan Lake, in Lone Butte. He has been charged with second degree murder and is beng held at 100 Mile House RCMP detachment. He is scheduled to appear at the Kamloops Provincial Court on Monday September 10th. His name will not be released until afer that initial court appearance.
