If you are a Terasen Gas customer, there could be some savings on the way in your gas bill.
The company has applied to the BC Utilities Commission for a reduction in the commodity price for customers in the Interior, North, Kootenays, Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
According to a news release issued this morning, the request is to decrease the commodity price of natural gas by 9.6% and that would result in a yearly saving of $70 - $81 dollars for the average homeowner.
If approved, the decrease will take effect October 1, 2007. The change would not be applied to residents of Fort Nelson as they are covered by a different type of agreement.
