Man Stabbed, Suspect Nabbed

A 22 year old Prince George man is in hospital in serious but stable condition after being stabbed in a late night attack.

Prince George RCMP say they first got a call just before midnight last night of a man with a knife.  Moments later the call came in about a man being stabbed.

The victim had made it to an apartment building in the 1900 block of Redwood Street.  The suspect was observed in the lot of a7-11 store and was taken down at gun point by the first officer on the scene.

The weapon, a steak knife, was located on the ground where the suspect was arrested.

More than 15 officers arrived on the scene, took the suspect into custody and interviewed witnesses.

The suspect is a 23 year old Prince George man, he will be appearing before a Justice of the Peace later today.  Charges being considered include:  Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Weapon Dangerous to the Public.

Haven't heard the term, "attempted murder" for the longest time. Does it still exist?
I am sure it does, in those cases where there was an actual attempt ot kill rather than maim.

That may come out in the questioning.

Seems to me this is a popular 711. This is not the first time it was in the news in the last few weeks. I should see if I can get an apartment there. I could just look out the window to get my fix of viewing violence rather than having to turn on the TV.
Sounds like just another night in the 'hood.
