One Person Dies in Crash Off 700 Road

RCMP are heading to the scene of a fatal accident on  the 700 Road ( also known as Chuchinka Road) north east of Bear Lake.
A pick up had been spotted in the river at that location. One person was trapped in the truck when it plunged into the water.
The Coroner and a traffic reconstruction expert are on their way to the scene of the accident 22 kilometers in from Highway 97.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Details as to how the accident occurred are not yet available.

It would most likely have happened as a result of driving too fast for the road. That bridge approach (both ways) is fine at moderate speeds, but I can see there could be trouble if the driver was going too fast.
