ACS is looking for more employees.  Affiliated Computer Services Inc is the call centre located in the former  Federal Government building on Second Avenue in Prince George.

ACS currently employs more than 250 people, that’s a doubling of the number of employees it had in 2002.  On a mission to add another 75 employees by the end of this year, the full compliment of 325 employees will make ACS the 6th largest private sector employer in the City of Prince George.

ACS provides in-bound customer care and transaction processing for companies.  To kick off the employee hunting campaign, ACS has been recognizing its current employees with special treats all week, including daily breakfast, massage therapy, and yoga sessions.

Today Mayor Colin Kinsley will be getting together with the ACS staff at an open house to celebrate the company’s growth.

Oh joy...I am so happy for them!
I'll be sure and tell them that the next time they call me at dinner time!
The reason they need more employees is the turnover.
People get tired of being sworn at!

this is not a call-out centre, rather it offers customer support to people calling in. Just thought you would like to know.

ACS has grown out of the nagging phone sales role into a proper customer service support centre. I am happy for them as it totally changes the culture and perceived value of the business. Way to go for them ! ( Sorry I am not an employee of them but a confessed former detractor of them and what ACS initially brought to PG ). I just think they should be offered accolades.
Personally, I don't care if it's an inbound or outbound call centre. I focus more on the fact that it's 325 jobs in our City. That's a good thing.
