Just  before  10:30 this morning, Prince George RCMP were called to the scene of a stabbing near 5th Avenue . 

Police say two men had confronted, chased, beat, then stabbed a 26 year old  man.  The victim was  taken to Prince George Regional Hospital  and is being treated for a non life threatening  knife wound. 

Police say the victim  was  walking along Harper, pushing a stroller.   When confronted by the two assailants,   the victim pushed the stroller into the driveway of a home and  asked the resident to contact police.  He then went around the back of the house where his assailants attacked him.

The resident of the home  ran outside and  pulled the child into the house, and called police.  The child was put  into the custody of  the  family Services.

According to the RCMP, the assailants and victim knew each other,  and had beeen involved in a  previous dispute which is not drug related.

The assailants remain at large.
