Pipeline Proponents Set Dates for Open House Sessions

Open house dates have been set for public comment on the plan to set up a pipeline that will run from Kitimat to Summit Lake.

The proposal would see a 36 inch (914mm) diameter pipeline which would transport natural gas from the proposed Kitimat LNG regasification   terminal south of Kitimat to the Spectra Energy Transmission BC Pipeline system at Summit Lake, north of Prince George.

The open house dates and locations are as follows:

·         Oct 22   Smithers, Hudson Bay Lodge

·         Oct 23   Terrace, Best Western

·         Oct 25    Kitimat Riverlodge

·         Oct 30   Burns Lake Chamber of Commerce

·         Oct 31   Vanderhoof Seniors Friendship Centre

·         Nov  1  Prince George Ramada Inn

·         Nov  2   Summit Lake Community Hall

The  open house sessions will run from 5:30 to  8:00 p.m.

In addition to the open houses, public comment on the pipeline proposal can be directed to the  B.C. Environment Assessment Office.   The public comment period runs from October 17th through to midnight on November 30th
