The Northern Lights Festival will get its three Christmas Wishes.

Prince   George City Council has  approved  extending the  free  parking for downtown to coincide with the start of the festival in  late November.  (free parking is already offered in the downtown during December)

Council has also approved  paying to remove snow from Connaught Hill  during the  festival, and  will add to its budget  discussions for next year paying for three flag poles for the site.

The festival  will  start at the same time as the annual Festival of Trees and will run through  January 11th .  It is designed to   add another "tourism"  opportunity  for Prince George.

Ho ho ho? Try Queensway or George St. Ha ha ha
This is going to be a winner.
Good one!!!
How much will it cost?

Cost? Tut tut. Money is no object. They have a big Scrooge McDuck vault in the basement of city hall. Doncha know?
Great idea. I'm happy that the time has come to actually put lip support for downtown ahead of parking metre revenue. Hoorah! Chester
