Health Day Circuit Starts Today

The 10th annual "Health Day Circuit " gets underway today at the Northern Interior Health Unit in Prince George. One thousand kindergarten students and their parents are expected to have gone through the circuit by the time it wraps up on October 7th.

Sponsored by Northern Health and School District #57, the circuit is a one stop health shop for immunization, vision and nutritional information, and screening for dental and hearing problems.

If a child is found in need, parents are offered further support.

Public Health Nursing Program Manager, Karen Wonders says this venue brings everyone together "parents, children, and service providers, making for less disruption in the classroom and a more efficient use of time all around.".
