Flames  shoot from the landing gear of the jet Blue  Flight 292 that made a picture perfect emergency landing at LAX  just after 6 p.m. our time.

Jet Blue, an American  discount airline, owes one pilot a big pat on the back.

Flight 292 from Burbank to New York, discovered shortly after takeoff that  the front  wheel was cocked siddeways.  The flight was diverted to L.A. X,  and flight 292 circled and circled, burning fuel, (it doesn't have the capability to dump fuel) as it prepared for an emergency landing.

Around 6:15 p.m., the flight came in for a landing, and the nose gear remained sideways,  the  pilot kept the nose up as long as possible,  then when the rubber hit the runway, the tires flamed out.... but the  nose wheel strut held tight.  The airbus came to a slow and safe stop.

All 139 passengers and 6 crew on board, O.K. physically.  It is  expected some  may suffer  some post traumatic stress.

What does this have to do with the 250?

Stay focussed.

I can get this story all over the net. But I can't get local stuff all over the net.

Stay in the 250.

Thank you for your comment. I would be pleased to discuss news philosophy with you, but not on this venue. We don't know if there was anyone from the 250 on that plane, we do know, or at least be pretty sure, everyone in the 250 and most other area codes in the world will be talking about this story. It was a pretty amazing sight. Forgive us for just trying to be part of that water cooler discussion. I believe we are focussed, but that does not mean tunnel vision.

Nothing wrong with reporting the "good news" once in a while never mind where it is. An excellent job by the pilot!
