The Prince George Cougars slump has risen to 8 games, after a 5-1 loss to Spokane. On Saturday night in Spokane, the Cats could only muster 13 shots against the number one team in the US Division. The Chiefs opened the scoring, but Ty Wishart who has been the only bright spot for the Cougars this season responded with his 7th goal of the year. Wishart leads WHL defensemen with 26 points in 26 games. Spokane would take a 3-1 lead after the first and added singles in the second and third for the 5-1 final. The Cats next game will be Friday in Kamloops.

Much as I have been pretty hard on these guys, with 8 loses, I have to admit that I truly believe that the problem is a lot deeper than the youngsters on the ice, or should I say higher up...
Usually how it goes.. If your on the ice doing the work you can only go as far as the direction and resources that are givent to you from the powers that be..
