Prince George Hospice Society has  the approval needed to expand its end of care beds from 5 to ten.  That means  the property is now listed as "major institutional"

Prince George City Council also approved a development variance permit that will allow  for a reduced set back from the property line.

The   Hospice Society presented  32 signed  letters from their neighbours all saying they have no problem with the  changes.

City staff  also noted the  property owner adjacent to the subject  property on  Clapperton, had no concerns about the changes.

Great news. The hospice house is a much needed facility and deserves our support and also the government's. Now if we could only get more extended care spaces for the elderly, Prince George would be heading in the right direction.
Good !!
