School District 57 has become the “cyber board”, broadcasting its first Board meeting in September on the internet.

Chairman Bill Christie noted all of 47 people had logged on to take in the meeting .

Notes for the Chairman,

While most of the boardroom is visible, you can’t see who is sitting at the presenter’s table, you also can’t see the person who sits to the right of Trustee Wick-Thibeault.

If you speak, and forget to turn on your mike, then no one can hear you. The entire wonderful banter the Chair had with Elizabeth Bagnell was lost because his Microphone wasn’t on.

When someone starts to talk, you don’t really know who it is because the video is so far away you can’t see whose mouth is moving. There are lots of people moving around, passing along papers, a little confusing.
