BC  Solicitor General and Safety Minister , John Les, says we have a serious situation in Prince George. He was describing the ice jam that has created a massive flood in the city. Les says that three ice jam experts have been called in and they will begin to arrive later today to see what possibly can be done. One is from UNBC, a second from Edmonton and a third from Bella Coola.

Evacuation alerts have now been issued for the area in the city on 3rd and 2nd ave East of Queensway as flood water from the Nechako begin to percolate into the area. Earlier today 1st ave was placed on alert. The Solicitor General and Safety Minister says we have a serious situation here in Prince George. There you have it , folks! Right from 604! Yay!! We do exist!
hmmm...obviously I have been misreading John Les...the guy is simply brilliant and so perceptive too!
Soemone must have told him to look at the calendar and think north and think three months more of weather that is going ot be cold enought to freeze water.

Rumour has it he was perplexed when he was told by someone from north of Hope that moving water actually freezes in some parts of the province.

;-)
In my opinion this is sort of like putting ice cream in a hot fry pan....
It might be amusing to watch but it isn;t going to accomplish much.
I would almost be ready to wager that if it was Campbell's or Les home town, or might in some way interfere with the 2010 fiasco, something would get done very quickly

Time to dig out the little red rented row boat.
Here is how these people handle it ... it says it worked in the past for them. Maybe the experts will suggest that.

I wonder if he figured that out by himself or was a baseball bat on the side of his skull needed?
I don't believe he has both oars in the water.
ohhh bad pun....
...good one BCRacer!!!
