For the second straight year, a number of Spruce Kings lottery show home tickets have been stolen. Last year a ticket seller was robbed at knife point in their home for the tickets. On Saturday just after 5:00 in the afternoon at Wal-Mart, a man grabbed a duffel bag with 200 unsold tickets and fled in a Grande Prix. The white male who is described as being in his late 40’s was last seen wearing a black coat and a dark hat. RCMP have the surveillance tape from Wal-Mart and are investigating.
The tickets are numbered 5801 to 6000 and are $20,000 in value to the Spruce Kings. With the draw for the home coming up on New Years day the Kings will not be able to reprint the tickets. The Spruce Kings are warning the public to only buy lottery show home tickets from a Spruce Kings lottery retailer. You can find these outlets on their website at www.sprucekings.bc.ca.
