Prince George, B.C. - The head of the Nechako River ice jam retreated almost a kilometre overnight and open channels were observed in both the Nechako and Fraser rivers over the past two days.
However, the situation remains unpredictable. Colder weather is predicted for the next several days.
River levels appear consistent with those observed over the past few days. Pumping of trouble spots continues and city workers continue to monitor levels around the clock.
All evacuation alerts and orders remain in effect.
