This morning just outside of Quesnel as crews continued construction on the widening of the highway in that area the aerial lines where struck and brought down.  According to Shaw Cable, a dump truck working on site was unloading and accidentially brought down the lines.

The damage has effected hydro service in the area as well as Shaw Cable customers from Williams Lake through to Prince George.

According to Shaw Cable, Hydro has priority in re-establishing their service.  Opinion250.Com News  has learned that Shaw Cable does not expect service to be restored until after 9pm this evening.

Of course, if you're with Shaw... you won't get this message until then.
