Three More Crashes On Area Highways

Police are asking people to slow down in the wake of three accidents within a few hours in and around the city.
The first crash happened at 10.20 am, a multi vehicle crash, 15 minutes south of Prince George on highway 97. Three vehicles involved ,no one seriously injured.
The second crash came at 11.51 this morning on the Hart Highway within the city limits on highway 97. In this case a witness says one vehicle rear ended the other. Police are still investigating. No ,life threatening injuries.
A roll over on highway 16 west , near the welcome to Prince George sign resulted in major damage but the two occupants in the vehicle did not receive any injuries and declined medical attention.
Staff Sergeant Doug Aird says the roads have been slippery and people are continuing to drive as though they are not. Aird says, “Slow down “.

No visible sanding on the Hart at that time.
Going to town we met the YRB sand truck at 12:20 pm racing past the Mohawk station blasting sand/soil & going full tilt north to the scene which was being attended to by police and fire crews.
"Slow down." But some sanding BEFORE the crashes may prevent some of them.
(Why do they always sand after the fact - Murphy's Law?).
