My condolences to family & friends
My condolences to all involved as well.

That said I would be interested in how the accident took place. The statistics say 80% of accidents involving tractor trailers are the result of the 4-wheeler and not the tractor trailer, but if it involves a mistake of the tractor operator then it would be educational for others in the business to know how to avoid those kinds of situations in the future.

I guess its a tough one though because you don't want to blame the person who lost their life either for the accident.

I blame the liberal government for the infrastructure they force us to get by with, without further evidence to the contrary.

Having said that Eagleone,Im curious to see what the volume of trafic on HWY 16 is on a daily basis considering it was engineered to 1960's-1970's traffic volumes. They havent done anything to compensate for the larger volumes. There is alot more that goes on behind the scenes that meets the eye.. Keep an eye out for the traffic counting machines on that road they are there.
I tend to agree.
Our highways really are a mess, other than a few recently paved stretches here and there.
I think that is just a token to keep us all quiet.
So what happened to the great Cariboo Connector project?
Lumps, bumps, potholes patches,...and I think many stretches are far too narrow for todays traffic and in need of complete rebuilding, not a another patch job or a Seal Coat.
I really can't see any other way to fix them, and that is going to cost major, major, dollars so it will probably not get done.
At least not until after 2010, and then I bet our politicians will tell us they are out of money I'm sure!
The canyon is probably one of the worst spots.I have never seen it quite as bad as it is now, and it has been that way for quite a while.
It just keeps getting worse.
The government is not responsible for bad driving habits, but they are in charge of the roads themselves.
The highways are old, worn out,and badly out dated and that makes them very dangerous!

Yeah, absolutely. It seems like you get numb to the disgusting road conditions cause you're so focused on making it to where your going. Cariboo Connecter, nice idea, but I don't see any action there. What's up BC government people? Hoping we won't notice?
