The second Cougar player that was rumored to be heading out of town leading up to this week WHL trading deadline is now gone. Jesse Dudas is now a member of the Swift Current Broncos. The 19 year old defenceman was packaged with 1992 born prospect Caitlin Foley for 17 year old goalie Ian Curtis. Curtis is 6’5" and 214 pounds. The Abbotsford native played in 11 games this season with the Broncos compiling a record of 4-2-0-0 and 3.37 GAA and .862 save percentage. Recently Curtis was ranked 14th among goalies in the NHL Central scouting list. Dudas showed signs of why the Columbus Blue Jackets drafted him, but he is also very injury prone only getting into 133 games in 3 and a half years in the league. This move means the Cougars will also have to do something with one of their remaining goalies in Tommy Tartaglione or Real Cyr. The trade deadline falls at 2:00 this afternoon.
