The Prince George Spruce Kings made two interesting moves at the BC Hockey League deadline. First of all they sent their captain Ryan deVries to Fort McMurray of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations. It was deVries that had asked for the trade. Then to improve their scoring the Kings added 19 year old Morgan MacLean from Grande Prairie of the AJHL. Earlier on Thursday MacLean was cut by the Cougars and sent down to Grande Prairie. The Kings also gave up future considerations. Both deals went down right before the deadline at 6:00 p.m. The Kings contacted MacLean and since he was still in Prince George got him down to the rink and into uniform for their game against Merritt. Even though he missed warm-up MacLean had a successful debut scoring once and adding two assists in a Kings 5-3 win. Kings are back in action at home on Friday against Langley at 7:00 in the Coliseum.
