I hope he falls in....and floats with the rest of it
I HOPE THERE WILL BE SOMEONE THERE TO TELL HIM THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT THE TOTAL FAILURE OF THIS ADMINISTRATION TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM IN A TIMELY AND LOGICAL MANNER.
So how come all of a sudden they decide to climb down out of their ivory towers in lotus land and check this out??
Oh, I know...they have been monitoring the situation from Victoria,...sure,of course they have!
Well, they blew it bigtime, and they need to have that explained to them!
There is enough hot air between Campbell and Les to melt the ice jam pronto!
Just make sure they stand REAL close to the edge of the ice!
What a joke.
This must be embarrassing for them, and it damn well should be.
And watch them authorize a solution on behalf of the government and then scoop all the credit.
It's a bit late!
Photo op anyone?
And here I thought the Premier was in Maui having some Christmas cheer - awe well a nice weekend outing - someone's gotta do it, right !

Don't worry, it'll smell good to the Vancouver voters
Take a look. That will fix things.
Lets see what has been done sofar.

x WEEK ONE CITY OFFICIALS STARE AT RIVER
x WEEK TWO CITY OFFICIALS STARE AT RIVER
x WEEK THREE MLA+Mayor stare at river and ride in loader bucket in floodwater on River Road.
X WEEK FOUR CITY OFFICIALS STARE AT RIVER AND PREPARE FOR COUNCIL MEETING
x WEEK FIVE CITY MAKE TWO DECISIONS
A: RUN HOT WATER LINE UP RIVER AND DUMP
B: BUILD TWO LANE 6 FEET HIGH DIRT BIRM
ON RIVER ROAD SHUTTING DOWNBUSINESS
AND PUTTING IN JEAPORDY FIVE HUNDRED JOBS

X BRILLIANT
I agree with ANDYFREEZE that the engineers should find a way to pipe all that HOT AIR coming from Victoria and PG City Council and stick it up...uh..no meant to say in...the river.
Great time line, woodpecker! I suppose they are all very busy getting ready with planning for their respective re-election campaign strategies; first things first.
Rest assured the Premier of Vancouver will be, diplomat. Just watch him run up the debt with a new batch of those "best place on Earth" ads beamed at us incessently come fall. And spend more on that than permanently fixing the flood problem. The ice jam will be all forgotten about by then. But lets look on the bright side, it's not often we get to welcome such a concerned foreign dignitary. A true 'Global' citizen.
I wonder if he had to dig out a map of BC first to find out exactly were Prince George is. To bad he is not touring the whole North, he would find out that all the small communities are flooding, not with water, but with unemployeed people. My heart goes out to all the people in Prince George that are having to deal with the flooding. Something that should have been dealt with years ago.
Is Doug Walls coming back with the Premier?
Cruel astro,very cruel..but FUNNY!!!
