The mayor of Prince George is jumping at the chance to meet with senior government and business officials from China's Guangdong Province and Hong Kong.
The Premier has announced B.C. will host the delegations at the end of the month in a bid to strengthen both economic and social relations with the region.
Colin Kinsley says he's received and accepted his invitation.
Kinsley says city officials have already had business dealings with some of the Chinese delegates, "but we haven't signed any contracts yet."
He says the foundation has been laid, "but we have yet to get exactly the kind of success we're hoping for, but again, on that front, we're hoping for a breakthrough."
China and Hong Kong make up B.C.'s third-largest export market behind the U.S. and Japan.
