Prince George, B.C. – City of Prince George, Information Officer, Don Schaffer says the fire at the PG Pulp Mill won’t have any impact on the City’s plans to pump hot water into the Nechako River. “The hot water was to come from the other pulp mill, Intercon, and discussions with Canfor continue to make that happen” says Schaffer.
As for the arrival of the Eco Technologies machinery, Schaffer says the amphibex is expected to be in Prince George late Friday night. “We are working with Canfor to prepare a site for access to the Fraser River, and that will need to be completed before the amphibex can start its work” says Schaffer.

With the Nechako running at 350 cubic metres per second, that's 5 million gallons per minute.
You're going to add 500 gallons per minute (one one-hundredth of one percent) of tepid water, and it's going to make a difference?
Especially not when it takes 144 BTU to melt a single pound of ice.
Doesn't anybody at the City (or the province) own a calculator?
