I Wonder If Eleanor Jenkins Is Still Reading Cards

This past week I heard that Eleanor Jenkins had died. Now you might ask who is Eleanor Jenkins?  Well she was the lady who used to come on my radio show and read cards.

She was a fortune teller and she had one hell of a following in Prince George. I used to use the line that if you put Gordon Campbell on the air he couldn’t outdraw Eleanor, which really says it all about human nature.

I didn’t spend much time listening to what Eleanor had to say to the individual callers, when she was on the air I confess, I used to sit back and read the paper, or do my other paper work, and it was like a day off from work. I really didn’t pay attention.

She always wanted to give me a “free reading”; I’d give her a hug instead.

Now she was living in Victoria but her real home was Athabasca, Alberta, when she was not on the air she talked about just how clean the air was, just how big those pickerel were, and just how big the sky was.

I don’t think she read it in the cards but somehow she found me within an hour or two of when “The Drive” gave me the heave ho, just to say how shocked she was. I really don’t think it was in the cards , but she was one of the few who found me to say goodbye which was a far cry from the letter if got from the station which was addressed to ,”Dear Sir “ after 28 years I guess they couldn’t spell my name , Eleanor on the other hand did .

Well I hope you still reading cards were ever you area, now let’s see,’take Five cards any cards from the deck and tell me what they are” How am I doing so far Eleanor.

I’m Meisner and that’s one man’s opinion

So sorry for your loss.
All of us who believe in the truth know what your cards would've said that day. "You're on to bigger and better things. Now get to it!"
I guess the cards were right!

:)
I wonder if she saw this in the cards?
