    Prince George B.C. -   The Prince George, Regional Performing Arts society has held its first annual general meeting.

About 85 people turned out for the session which presented an update on the group’s finances and the work of the consultant.

The consultant,   which is conducting the needs assessment, was in Prince George this past week . Discussions have been held with a variety of arts groups, first nations and arts educators.

The membership stands at 325 with 264 active members and 61 “friends “of the Society.  As for the balance sheet,  there is  a balance of $1,379.42 after paying the  consulting fees of  just over $27 thousand dollars, $14 hundred for legal fees and promotional materials, and  $13 hundred for meeting expenses.

Eleven  people were elected to the board,  and they will gather next week to select a chair.  The new members to the Board are:

Peter Crolow,  Shawn Petriw,  Anne Martin, Jo Graber,  Sharon Cochran,  Les Waldi, Bunny Murray, Keith Carlson, Tim Dielisson, Kirk Gable  and   Kent Greenless         .
