Thats alot of fall and burn contracts!
13 million hectares of timber ruined so far and $6 million to protect what's left.

That puts the federal government's value of the ruined resource at 50 cents per hectare.

Good show Jay.
A lot like closing the barn door after the horse is out!
Another token for the north!

-The barn being Tweedsmiur park and the Horse being the Pine Beatle.
Only about a tenth of what it would take. Just wait till it spreads east past Alberta.
WHAT BEATLES...WHAT TREES. NOT HERE, MAYBEE IN ALBERTA. SOMETHING LIKE A BELATED GET WELL CARD. THANKS ANYWAY JAY.
I have flown over Tweedsmuir park and all you see in any direction are dead trees in every direction stretching to the horizon.
It looks like something out of a horror movie or some kind of nuclear holocaust.
Everyone should see it from the air to get an idea of the total devastation, and that's just one area!
They would also understand just how badly it has been downplayed by our fearless leaders!
It should be mandatory that politicians also see it from the air, then they might understand what we are talking about!
I think all the politicians know very well what the beetle kill looks like from the air!

Can't miss it because it is plainly visible when flying in any direction from here, especially when commuting back and forth from the 604.

They don't travel by car, because if they did we would have had much better and safer highways many years ago!

Hmm, we received ignorance and chump change to deal with an economy crippling natural disaster. Suddenly, as it seems the epidemic starts to head east more chump change is dropped in the hat. Perhaps we need to hunt done some of the pesky varmints and make a free delivery to Ontario's forests and expedite some cash flow. Conclusion, so following the governments response to this matter, one would have to assume should a health epidemic arise nationwide, BC would go on the waiting list!!
