CNC Expands Its International Links
By 250 News
While the College of New Caledonia has hosted international students for years, the school is working to expand its overseas connections.
"CNC is more than just a home for 140 international students; we’re an important gateway for Prince George to connect with Asian opportunities," says CNC president John Bowman. "With the expanding emphasis on Asian opportunities, CNC provides the training that these countries are seeking."
Bowman says the college has been developing new non-traditional programs and connections, including: a Summer Language Study and Health Care Work Experience for practioners from Korea, a study abroad program at Zhejiang Forestry University in China -- to date, more than 40 people have participated in this program -- a Dental and Nursing exchange to Daegu Health College in Korea, and "Train the Trainer" programs supporting entrepreneurship development in the Russian Far East.
Bowman says these advances in international connections are putting CNC on the world map for comprehensive post-secondary training.
