Prince George, B.C. - Members of the People's Action Committee for Healthy Air are basking in the aftermath of what they feel was an extremely successful local symposium on air quality.
PACHA President, Dave Fuller, says more than 400 people showed up throughout the day-long gathering at the Coast Inn of the North yesterday.
Fuller was amazed by the turn-out and says it's further proof that air quality is an issue that needs to be dealt with in Prince George. He says, "The time has come for change and people are getting on-board the train."
Fuller also pointed to the large number of politicians in attendance, as an indicator the political will for change might be there as well.
Prince George City Councillors Don Bassermann, Debora Munoz, Brian Skakun and Don Zurowski were in attendance. Mayor Colin Kinsley, and area MLAs Shirley Bond and Pat Bell arrived over the noon-hour for the presentation of PACHA's Clean Air awards.
