This weekend the Prince George Playhouse hosted the 12th Annual Cinema CNC Film Festival. Movies such as Shake Hands With The Devil, Emotional Arithmetic, and The Tracy Fragments were shown at the event.

“ ‘The Tracy Fragments’ was the highest attended matinee,” said Film Festival Coordinator Peter Maides, “ ‘Shake Hands With The Devil’ was certainly the most popular."

Some substitutions had to be made when certain films did not come in on time; “The Body Builder and I” was not shipped in time for the show and was replaced with French Film “Contre Tout Esperance.”

“The audience was great, very patient with some of the issues…that’s all part of the film festival experience though.”

Attendance and ticket sales were successful. There is no profit estimate yet, but Cinema CNC hopes to use the proceeds to purchase new sound equipment for its usual venue of CNC.

Excellent festival! CNC should be proud.
Maybe CNC can concoct a film festival for the people of the Millar Addition. They can start out with Irma La Duce with Jack Lemmon and Shirley McLaine. Followed by Klute with Jane Fonda and ending with Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts and Rick Gere. That oughta put a smile on the faces of the Millar Addition people and also let them know there is a lighter side of prostitution. Courtesy of Hollywood.
