Highway 97 Through Pine Pass Closed Until Wednesday Feb 13th

Prince George -      For those drivers hoping to make it through the Pine Pass tomorrow, better start looking at and alternate route.

Highway 97 is closed because of a slide and is not expected to re-open until Feb 13th at 4PM.

For those that are heading to Grande Prairie and north you can take 16 East to Hinton, and then head north to Grande Prairie on Highway 40, all are open but you are going to add some distance to your trip, if you don’t want to wait a couple of days.

Now for those people who need to drive through Hinton the distance is 517 Kilometers from PG to Grande Prairie on highway 97 north, or 664 kilometers if you take 16 East to Hinton and then highway 40 north to Grande Prairie.
